Our vision for the former Regent Wing site on Coombe Road reimagines a disused hospital building as a vibrant residential community set within a richly planted environment. Three apartment buildings are arranged around a structured landscape inspired by a residential bosquet, creating a formal yet welcoming setting that integrates architecture and nature. Extensive planting, 46 new trees, biodiverse roofs and permeable, low‑carbon materials enhance ecological value, while communal gardens, inclusive play spaces, clear sightlines and accessible routes support wellbeing and safety.

The strategy responds sensitively to neighbouring properties and navigates site challenges such as level changes and root protection zones, with sustainability embedded through rainwater harvesting and integrated habitats. The result is a resilient, community‑focused landscape that fosters a strong sense of place for residents and the wider neighbourhood.
