Studio gb were commissioned by Maylim to take the landscape works through to construction and support the delivery of Oxford North, a major new innovation district in North Oxford designed to accelerate science, technology and research while establishing a sustainable mixed‑use community. Centred around a landscape masterplan with a park at its heart, the scheme introduces SuDS ponds, a dedicated playground, a large events square, meadow and Mediterranean planting beds, significant biodiversity enhancements supported by sustainable maintenance practices, and Your Planetary Assembly, a permanent artwork by Olafur Eliasson. Together, these elements form a robust and expressive landscape framework for the emerging district.

The new park acts as the social and ecological anchor of Oxford North, creating a welcoming green space that supports everyday activity, community use and clear movement across the site. Its combination of water, planting, play and flexible event space establishes a resilient public realm that will evolve as the neighbourhood grows, providing a distinctive setting for work, collaboration and public life within this new centre for innovation.
