Park Sonce
Location: Lucija, Slovenia
Client: Municipality of Piran
Completed: 2014
Size: 25,250 m2
Photography: © Bor Dobrin
Commissioned by the Municipality of Piran, the project
saw the temporary redevelopment of the city centre’s abandoned karting circuit
into a large vibrant park by the coast. By reusing the existing track and soil heaps
on site, the space is transformed to provide a generous meandering path dotted
by trees, large mounds, sculptures, seating and rose gardens.
Developed as part of
the Scapelab team.
